We follow very strict ethical guidelines and do not use pesticides or herbicides on the farm. Our animals are free range - rather than feed lot so have a healthy, natural life. This cuts out the need for medicines or antibiotics as the animals are naturally healthy. We have not bothered with organic certification, prefering to spend out time, money and energy in the persuit of organic principals in the raising of our livestock and vegetables - without the crippling red tape, cost and paperwork associated with organic certification.
The health benefits of Goat milk are many. With half the fat, and half the cholesterol but twice the protein, Goat Milk cheese not only tastes good but is good for you. For years, people with sensitive stomachs have opted for goat milk products. The fats in goat cheese are smaller with short-chain fatty acids and produce a softer curd. Their small size makes them easier to break down and digest than the larger, long –chain fatty acids of cow’s cheese. Goat cheese has the added benefit of not containing bovine growth hormones or other chemicals.
